i'm a student and my 1 year old is in the day-care center full time from 8am till 5 pm, after college i pick him up we go home, we have dinner together and then bath, we read a book and he goes to sleep usually until 8pm he's asleep, the next day is the same routine.. but the other day i started to cry around 1 and went to pick him up. we spent the rest of the day in the playground, well i skipped classes.
is this normal? is this a sign of some kind of postpartum depression? why am i behaving so weird?

Maybe you just missed your baby. I'm not a doctor though so i wouldn't know. But if you really think something is wrong with you go see the doctors.

There is a good chance that you just missed baby and you felt the need to spend the day with him. If you experience this more often then maybe head into your doctors office and discuss it with them just to be sure.

Sounds like you just missed your baby. Working moms experience this sort of thing all the time. During PMS it's worse for me as it can lead to a short crying spell here and there.

i heard postpartum depression occurs can occur up to several weeks after giving birth
your baby is already a yr old so most likely you won't get postpartum depression at this stage
however you just might feel depressed with your routine of going to school & not getting to spend as much time as you would like...
to me it seems like you feel guilt for not being able to spend as much time with his as you would like..
but its all a sacrifice because you're going to school & keep in mind that many women don't continue going to school... you should be proud of yourself that you're setting a good example for your son & many mothers out there that think just because you have a baby its impossible to be continuing with school..
once you're done with school you'll be able to spend more time with him & when you can spend the whole day with your son doing fun stuff that lil kids like..

& take the summers off from school even if it will take you longer to finish that way you can spend more time with your lil one..

good luck!

I am pretty sure its too late for you to have PPD. and no, its not depression by any means. most people think the slightest sadness is depression, when really theyre just normal human beings experiencing normal human feelings and emotions.
