When does postpartum depression occur? ?
My baby is 3 1/2 months old but lately I have been feeling really sad. He's a great baby and it has nothing to do with him, I just feel like my heart is broken for some weird reason. This is my third child I also have a 7 year old a 4 year old. My husband is great and helps me with everything. I don't understand why I feel this way.

Sounds like you're experiencing postpartum depression now. You need to tell your doctor about the way you're feeling and he can help to develop a treatment for you. Wish you all the best.

PPD can occur from the moment of birth, or any time afterward. It can be mild to debilitating, depending on the circumstances, and can last for a long period of time. If things are getting you down, talk to someone like a close friend or a counselor.
I struggled with PPD for over a year and drove my wonderful husband up the walls at times. Best wishes.

Postpartum depression can happen from birth and up to 2 yrs after. It sucks and I have been there. Best thing is to talk to your doctor and maybe they can help you figure out your triggers. It sounds like you have an awesome hubby! I am on my 3rd child too and my two older are 7 and 5..I am concerned about my own possible depression after the birth. Prevention and understanding the condition is the biggest help. Hormones sure affect our life more than we know.

You are on the right track!! Good Luck girl!
